The Workforce Working Group (WFWG) takes into account the workforce aspects that present across CAN’s work and puts a specific lens and focus on the development of the people and places that impact the region’s capacity for workforce expansion.
STRUCTURE
This group will address and build capacity specifically related to workforce outcomes, economic development, and regional growth. The method of holistic, place-based, and equitable approach taken by this Working Group ties into the overarching goals of CAN as a driver of economic growth for the region. Workforce development informs and addresses needs that incorporate key aspects of peer learning and regional collaboration with a strategic approach informed by the lived experience of members.
WHO SHOULD JOIN
Wraparound support organizations, other organizations offering workforce development programming, key partners who have identified support services needed for workforce, equity centered workforce development organizations, state and federal entities providing, economic development entities, workforce development boards, American Job Centers, small business development centers, employer supports, jobseekers and people with lived experience, employers.
