The Clean Energy Working Group (CEWG) is a broad coalition of practitioners accelerating Central Appalachia’s equitable clean energy transition through collective power-building, collaborative funding models, coordinated policy advocacy, and peer learning.

GOALS

1. Secure EPA GGRF (Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund) funding for Appalachian communities.
2. Expand and deepen participation and engagement in the CAN CEWG.
3. Amplify workforce development by working with high school students where possible, especially where solar, energy efficiency, hydro, and geothermal projects are being sited and developed in local Central Appalachian communities.
4. Develop and expand Appalachian Solar Finance Fund model to develop a regionally based “Clean Energy Ecosystem Navigator” (CEEN) program

For more details about each goal, view the pdf of CEWG five year work plan – click here.
