CAN’s New Equity Coordinator
We are excited to introduce you to Tanya Torp, our new Equity Coordinator. Tanya will help to analyze the existing structure and policies of the Network, conduct a Network assessment, develop an Equity Plan for CAN, and educate Network Leadership.
Tanya is a Keynote speaker, workshop leader, and facilitator versed in a wide range of topics including strategic planning for nonprofits, volunteer activation, equity and justice, community liaising, and radical hospitality. Additionally, she is the Executive Director of Step By Step, Inc, a nonprofit focused on empowering young single moms ages 12 to 24 and their children.
Tanya lives in Lexington, Kentucky with her two young sons, and a surprisingly increasing community of feral cats who sometimes pretend they want to be part of the family. Her foster/adoptive family advocates for interventions for neurodivergent children and lifts racial and economic disparity gaps preventing family reunification
